I just really want to feel better about myself and have a healthier relationship with food. I am frustrated that my body does not seem to show the results of my hard work. Everyone says I look great, but I don't feel great. It grinds on me daily-ment
So this has been a big year for me. As a full time teacher AND a phd student I really have to balance my life. WAG has helped me with that SO much this year. I have been on WAG for almost one year!! (Next month is my one year anniversary). In that time I have learned what it means to have a healthy relationship with food. It has not been easy and I still fall back into some bad mental games, but overall, I am much MUCH happier. This year was the first year that I participated in the Open. I FINALLY felt confident (after years of saying I would never compete) to try it and I got HOOKED. I have been doing CrossFit for 4 years, but now I am really doing CrossFit. Shortly after the Open I signed up (last minute) to participate in a competition and did really well! I placed 10th out of 20 in the scaled division. I will also be getting my L1 certification in a few weeks, so this is really becoming part of me and my lifestyle.
The most important thing I have gained from this is confidence. My body and I have had a tough relationship but with the major help of Alexa, it is growing stronger every day. I look forward to see what happens in the future!
My goal was and is to cut weight while maintaining strength.
