Ingredients

  • 2oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • Splash of jalapeno or pickle juice
  • 8g maple or agave syrup
  • 3oz club soda or tonic water
  • 2-4g Tajin seasoning for rim
  • Garnish - lime wedge and fresh or pickled jalapeno
Zero Proof Margarita

Cinco de Mayo is coming up and I wanted to make something festive and delicious to enjoy with my tacos, without the hangover (or the dent to my macros).

This one has a little spiciness with the jalapeno but you can leave that out if it’s not your jam. It’s perfect for summer BBQs or poolside refreshments and so easy to make. Salud!

Instructions

  1. Take old fashioned or short style cocktail glass and run a lime around the rim.
  2. Dip into a container with Tajin seasoning to coat the rim (salt works too). I just used my citrus juicing container and tossed the leftovers away.
  3. Add ice to your glass.
  4. In a separate container add the fresh squeezed lime, lemon, and jalapeno juices, then the maple syrup and stir.
  5. Strain mixture into your cocktail glass and add club soda to fill up the rest of the way.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh or pickled jalapeno.
