I had tried every diet in the book to get “thin.” My relationship with food was negative and it became a downward vicious cycle of restricting foods, binging and then punishing myself by restricting even more. I felt lethargic, bloated and insecure all the time and the weight just kept creeping up.
Until I found Working Against Gravity!
At first, I felt confused and overwhelmed but thanks to my coach who held my hand and educated me through the whole experience! Since starting my journey with WAG, my relationship with food has become positive, I feel confident with my body, I have more energy, tracking and weighing my food to make smart choices has become second nature and I’ve become a better, stronger and faster overall CrossFit athlete with many new PR’s! I am eating so much more food than I ever have before and the weight keeps coming off.
WAG is one of the best decisions I’ve made to better myself, in 6 months I’ve lost 30 pounds and an overall 10”. I am so excited to see what the next 6 months will hold! I realize now that it’s not about getting “thin”, it’s about getting strong and becoming a healthier person both physically and mentally. Consistency is key; you don’t need to be perfect. If you get a flat tire, doesn’t mean you need to slash to the rest, just keep on trucking!
P.S. Food is fuel, carbs are NOT the enemy!
