Goal
My goal was to lean out and improve my endurance as well as learn how to fuel my body on my work days and when my sleep pattern is constantly changing!

A little over a year ago I had seen and heard success stories of the program and had thought about trying it but never followed through until early this year when I finally decided to take the next step of signing up and never looked back. After making the commitment, I was assigned to my coach and told her a little bit about myself and my busy lifestyle of being a Pediatric ER nurse, in addition to being a mother to two young children, and the wife of a firefighter. Working overnights (7pm-7am) on Sundays and Mondays was a newer schedule for me at the time of signing up and my nutrition was falling apart on those days as well as my sleeping schedule. I didn't know how to fuel by body and I seemed to always be starving. I didn't know how to time my meals and adjust my eating cycle around my sleeping pattern that was constantly changing. I felt extremely bloated on my flip day (Tuesday) as I am awake most of the day normally only getting 2 hours of sleep. I felt terrible not only physically but mentally and about myself. I never had any energy, was so sluggish in the gym, and was just simply exhausted all the time. Alexa was assigned as my coach and she has been beyond amazing. She has been that accountable person I needed to keep me on track. From the start she gave me advice for my overnight shifts that dialed me in immediately and I suddenly began to feel better not only on these specific days but throughout the week and in the gym. She has been there every step of the way to answer any questions I have and tweak my numbers when needed. These few adjustments we have made along the way have been key to my success.
Last year around this time, I attempted counting macros for 8 weeks on my own when I had signed up for the online WZA challenge, but shortly fell back off once the challenge was over. Prior to this program, weighing my food was never something I did, but it has now become a habit in my every day routine as well as food prepping my meals for the day and week. For those that have never tried to count macros and eat a flexible diet I highly recommend and encourage it. For me, it has been the easiest way to stick to something and still enjoy your favorite foods by adjusting your numbers around whatever it might be that you want to eat that day.
I could go on and on about the greatness of this program, my coach, and how much I highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting to finally make that lifestyle commitment to change the way your fueling your body. I firmly believe I wouldn't be where I am today without the support and help of my coach along the way and the accountability partner I have obtained. It is a constant motivation to stay on track when you begin to see all of your hard work and dedication paying off and the physical transformation in weekly check-in photos. Currently I am in the best shape of my life. I am the leanest I have ever been and continue to hit PR's in the gym regularly. Mentally and physically I have never felt better. I look forward to seeing where this program takes me over the next month, which will likely be my last. From then on, I feel confident that with the knowledge I have obtained over these past three months, I would be able to manage the adjustments on my own when needed. Thank you Adee, Alexa, and all of the other WAG coaches and members for making this such an amazing program and community!
