Goal
To get back to feeling confident mentally and physically after being in a grueling 3-year residency training and having two children in 3 years. I have lost 12 pounds so far.
Testimonial
WAG has helped me rejuvenate and re-establish goals that I have had in the past and that I had put on the back burner. I took a step back from being as focused on my own health and well-being while I was in residency and while I was nursing my two boys. I ate to fuel both of these things and I prioritized pumping and being with them over-exercising when I did have a precious few hours of free time. I put a lot of other things first for a long time and I don't think that was entirely wrong and it certainly wasn't avoidable.
I never want to go back to putting my physical and mental health second and I am realizing that by being part of WAG I am a better wife, mother, and physician. I am especially appreciative of my coach who really walks the walk. She is inspiring and thoughtful and always pushes me to be a little better while also reminding me not to be too hard on myself. Through her, I see that the path to health both mentally and physically is a marathon marked by pitfalls but also huge successes and that is the beauty of it all.
