Lose some weight, lean out but not lose strength, and find something sustainable

I love this program! While it takes some time to get used to weighing food and being mindful about what you are eating and tracking…once you get on the ball it changes your life. Everything I read about the program is coming true plus more. Each week I have had a little loss that has added up. While I noticed changes about 6 weeks in, the big changes came at about 10 weeks in. And when people started asking “what are you doing” I knew I was on the right track. I have always had a difficult relationship with food, and I was worried all the focus on the scale (both for body and food) would trigger some old bad habits, but just the opposite has been true. My relationship with food is what has had the most positive benefit, that is not to say losing weight and inches hasn’t been great as well. I no longer think of foods in terms of “good food” or “bad food”, gone are the late night binges where I have to eat all the M&Ms because I will never eat them again, or saying…”i’ll make changes on Monday” and proceed to binge for days. Now I have control over what I eat. If I want ice cream, I have ice cream. If I want a sandwich I have a sandwich. I have been able to find a balance and really think about why I want to eat something, is it out of emotion or am I really hungry. I never feel deprived. I can’t remember the last time I was at this weight (maybe when I was 20) and I really didn’t think that my body (after having had 2 kids) could become what it has become (and is becoming). I have trusted the process and my coach and I have changed. I have also had improvements in the gym and in my running. I have PR’d multiple lifts over the last 12 weeks and almost doubled my running mileage. My coach has been so supportive and helpful and I have never been a lone. I would recommend (and have recommended) this program to anyone looking to make changes for the better.
