I think the biggest lesson here though is appreciation - over the past several months I started to seriously appreciate how my meals and snacks fuel my body, and this appreciation also carried over to time with my kids (5yo and 2yo). I now understand that "living in the moment" is simply appreciating the hugs, the endless chatter, the vacation experiences, and even the tantrums (sometimes haha).

I think everyone needs to try this - especially women my age who are under the false belief that they can't lose weight or put on muscle because of age, hormones, menopause, etc. My workouts didn't change. All that changed was my nutrition. My coach identified the right balance of macros that supported my workouts without adding unnecessary weight. Tracking was fun and easy and I never felt hungry or deprived.
