We’re back with Adee for Q&A Mondays!
In this episode, Adee talks about what to do when you experience a weak spot in your focus on nutrition, when it’s time to take a break and how to get back into the swing of things.
When you feel a weak moment coming on: Evaluate your personal life to see why you feel your focus is dwindling. Are you stressed out from work? On rocky terms with a family member? Whatever the case may be, finding out what triggers your “weakness” will put your feelings in check so that you don’t completely throw out your diet. Talk to your nutrition coach or a family member to see if the stress can be alleviated to help you get over the hump quicker.
When it’s time to take a diet break: We know that diets can take a toll on you mentally, so there is no harm in taking a small break from tracking your nutrition. If you feel stressed and exhausted, it’s time to press pause. Just remember, even if you aren’t weighing and measuring your food, you still want to make similar choices you would if you were tracking your food. Be aware of what you’re putting into your body and try not to go completely overboard.
When it’s time to get back to dieting: If you’re having trouble with getting back into the swing of dieting again, remind yourself of why you started in the first place. Imagine yourself achieving your goals and what that looks like. The thought of meeting your goals will put you back into a positive and motivating mindset, and it will be easier to start tracking your nutrition again.
