It is common to get excited about a new goal and want to go all in. Why only hit the gym a few times per week when you can aim for six days and reach your strength goal faster? Why only aim for your protein target when you can hit all your targets and reach your weight loss goal sooner?
‘If your goals don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough’. It’s important to push yourself and to believe that you can achieve anything that you put your mind to, but long-term ‘dream big’ goals can lead to feeling overwhelmed or lost along the way.
After trial and error, Michael created a results-driven process for himself. With his long-term goals in mind, he establishes sub-goals that can be checked off on a weekly or monthly basis to help him achieve his long-term goals in smaller steps.

“What is your New Year’s Resolution?” This is a question you are probably hearing a lot right about now. With the end of one more year, we look forward to another 365 days full of hopeful possibilities and positive changes.
Each day we have the chance to take advantage of so many opportunities to bring joy into our lives. This doesn’t necessarily mean grand gestures, but rather recognizing that slowing down just a touch can allow you to increase your happiness ten fold.
When we consistently repeat a task or behavior, it becomes a habit. Establishing strong habits helps us to rely less on our will power and self control in times of temptation and stress.
The term “fake it till you make it,” is not just about actions. The words you choose to tell yourself can either build you up or break you down.

Every year around this time we each set a resolution to better ourselves in the coming year. No matter which goal we choose to focus on, our main objective is always to be happier.
How often do you look at the BIG picture of your life, and really spell out what you want out of it? How often do you create a clear vision, and how often do you check-in with yourself to see if your actions are in line with that vision?
