Starting WAG has been a great learning experience for me. I like how WAG gives you the freedom to eat when/what you choose, but gives REALLY useful tips and hints like eating more carbs around workouts, and eating for volume and micronutrients as well. The best has to be that, for me, 5x a week, I make sure i allocate some Halo top to my day and its been a saver! I have cleaned up my nutrition before, and I always end up starving and getting a case of the "F*ck its" after a few weeks. I am never hungry on WAG, and I think its really helped seeing the gym PRs along the way. When I first started, I was getting stressed about the daily weigh ins, and had a really hard time seeing the scale barely move, or, worse, move in the opposite direction. I was very hard on myself, and thought maybe i was eating too much....every week at my check in, my awesome coach Alexa would offer some words of wisdom, and say the stress is on HER if I'm not successful (although I have to be honest with my macros and check in sheet!). That was huge for me....taking the stress off of myself, and letting my results be in the hands of someone else....if I did my part and followed my macros, and results weren't working, its her job to make adjustments, not mine! As a coach, personal trainer, wife and Mom, I like not having to worry about one more thing in my life. I think that's why I have had success on WAG; I do my part as far as following the program, and I get to let go of the stress of figuring out what to do with my nutrition.
